CAP Space Analysis: Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers are coming into 2021 with -$28,194,726 million in cap room. Let’s investigate what they could do to alleviate this and the future fantasy implications.


The Packers will need to get creative with their roster to get under the cap and I believe this will involve a lot of contracts being restructured. As this was in the process of being written, Ian Rapport confirmed they started with restructuring Bakhtiari saving $8.3 million which was expected. With just two other moves they could extend both Adams and Rodgers and save another $26.7 million potentially putting them at just under $7 million free in cap room quickly.
