Post Week 5 Buy/Sell

The Draft Director / @ChrisMiles1017

Hello everyone, welcome to my fifth installment of my weekly Buy/Sell column here for the Fantasy Scouts. In these pieces I talk about what players market values may be lower than they should and whose values are too high. This way we can take advantage of these value fluctuations and make our teams better for the eventual playoff push. Let’s dive in now!

(This article is assuming full PPR, Superflex, redraft. But can be applied to any form of redraft league.)

QB Buy and Sell

My QB buy for this week is Matt Ryan. Ryan is currently the QB19 but don’t let that get in your way of buying him. He’s in a top 3 most pass heavy offense in the league so the volume is where it needs to be. His main issue is his lack of TDs the last few weeks. Ryan has thrown 1 total touchdown over the last 3 games. I bet owners are very frustrated with him right now and looking to hop off the Matt Ryan train. The positive regression is coming so pounce on it while you can.

My QB sell heading into week 6 is Andy Dalton. With the Dak injury Dalton has seen quite a spike in value. If you’re already a winning team chances are you were getting along just fine without dalton and don’t really need him. Dalton is a guy I’m looking to sell because people are so attracted to his upside in the cowboys offense, but Dalton isn’t Dak. We haven’t seen his floor yet. If people are willing to pay a premium for an unknown then let them. Now if you’ve been losing and Dalton is your QB2 or 3 you prolly have to hold unless you can get a QB you like out of him.
