Week 13 Review: A New QB1

Chad Workman / @tweetsbychadfw

One of the biggest fantasy football weeks of the entire season is mostly behind us and hopefully some of these week 13 studs helped secure a playoff spot for you. For the most part, the guys that were supposed to deliver this week did just that, while some rookies and lesser utilized players stepped up. Let’s take a look.

Darren Waller

Waller highlights the “studs who delivered” category this week, as he dazzled all afternoon to the tune of 200 yards and two touchdowns on 13 receptions. He saw 17 targets, the most for any tight end in a game this season. Waller is clearly the go-to pass catcher in this offense. He consistently gets open, makes contested catches, and makes plays after the catch. He has a less than ideal matchup against the Colts next week but is still a great weapon to have in your lineup for the playoffs. He is the total package, a locked in high end tight end one.

Corey Davis

The former first round pick continued his breakout campaign on Sunday as he tallied 182 receiving yards and a touchdown. Davis snatched 11 of his 12 targets, which were five more looks than teammate A.J. Brown saw. After this outing, Davis leads the Titans in receiving yards with 801 compared to Brown’s 725. Don’t get it twisted, Brown is the number one wide receiver on this team, but you can see how far Davis has come and the type of season he is having. Plus, if Tannehill is throwing for nearly 400 yards as he did on Sunday, both guys can eat.
