Week 4 Waiver Wire
Benjamin Shamel / @benjamm1n
Another week down and another week filled with injuries to the running back position. We saw significant blows to Austin Ekeler and Nick Chubb which could have fantasy managers scrambling to fill their rosters in week 5. Let’s get into it.
Jamaal Williams - It could be because the Packers were playing with the lead for the entire game but Williams got a lot more work than usual and took the reins for the two-minute offense for the entire drive to end the second half. Aaron Jones had himself a good game as well and was not usurped by any means, but Williams could prove to be a viable flex play at this point.
Damien Harris - If someone did not add Harris before the Patriots’ Monday night game as he was activated off of IR then he would be a prime option for your roster this week. Harris rushed 17 times for 100 yards. There is no telling whether this could be sustained as a consistent output once Cam Newton returns to the line up but the fact that Sony Michel was added to IR as a subsequent move at least shows some clarity in future touches.
Justin Jackson - The injury to Austin Ekeler will lead to plenty of work for Josh Kelly but there should be some scraps for Justin Jackson if you need to play him in a pinch. He only had 6 attempts for 9 yards and added 2 catches for 12 yards but that workload could increase after a week of planning for a game plan without Ekeler.
