Week 6: Buy/Sell Column

Twitter: @FF_Worm

Week six is officially in the books and it was a wild one. There were plenty of fantasy points scored and while some were expected, many, were not. Which players are for real? And which just had a fluke week? Will the booms come back down to Earth? Will the duds stay down in the dumps? This is the sixth article of the weekly buy and sell series. This series will take a look at some players we should be buying and others we should be selling.

  • Chase Claypool – WR Pittsburgh Steelers

After a monster week five, Chase Claypool disappointed in week six. Logging just two catches for 17 yards, he may have cost some fantasy managers a win this past week. Now is the perfect time to try and acquire him. I’m not saying he will be free, however, there is a good chance you can now get him at a discount.

With JuJu Smith-Schuster done for the year, Claypool should get even more looks. In this past week, he was targeted a solid seven times. Unfortunately, he only came down with two of them, but quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is looking his way. I expect Claypool to have some big games in the near future.

We have seen Claypool have these massive games before and he can win you weeks. He is Big Ben’s deep ball threat. Any time Claypool is on the field, he is just a big play waiting to happen. This is backed by his team-leading 16.3 yards per reception. With his combination of size and speed, I am betting on his talent.
