Week 6 Waiver Wire

After a few injuries and some breakout performances this week’s waiver run turned out a bit meatier than the last few weeks with some credible options.
Gus Edwards - This one is more of a stash and hold since the Ravens are going on bye for week 7. Coach John Harbaugh has said that Mark Ingram should be ready to go after their bye week but even if he is, Gus has been playing well and gaining yardage even though the Ravens offense has taken a step back in running production from their record year last year. If the backfield remains a three man committee it may not produce a quality starter as we have seen thus far but there is potential for one of these backs to force the coaching team’s hand for more carries.
J.D. McKissic - Ever since the Washington Football Team made the switch to Kyle Allen it seems there have been a shift in the running game. Allen has been looking to McKissic more often and this has become almost an even split in this backfield between McKissic and Antonio Gibson. That usage could translate to McKissic being a viable flex option to fill in for a player on a bye week. Washington also gets Dallas next week that has been letting each and every team go off against this thus far this season.
