Week 7: Buy/Sell Column

Twitter: @FF_Worm

Week seven is officially in the books and it was a wild one. There were plenty of fantasy points scored and while some were expected, many, were not. Which players are for real? And which just had a fluke week? Will the booms come back down to Earth? Will the duds stay down in the dumps? This is the seventh article of the weekly buy and sell series. This series will take a look at some players we should be buying and others we should be selling.

  • Tee Higgins – WR Cincinnati Bengals

After a great rookie season, Tee Higgins picked right up where he left off. Combining for ten catches, 118 yards, and two touchdowns on 15 targets in the first two games, fantasy managers were all smiles. That quickly changed. Higgins went down with a shoulder injury, forcing him to miss the next two games. Since returning from injury, the production has not been there.

To make matters worse, rookie wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase has been exploding in just about every game. This potentially has left fantasy managers to worry about Higgins. Now is the time to buy low on him.

I know the last few weeks of no touchdowns, few yards, and Chase taking the league by storm is discouraging, but I believe Higgins will start putting up better numbers. He is coming off a week seven game in which he led the team in targets with 15. Burrow was looking his way often and I believe this will continue. The chemistry they have doesn’t just disappear.

With the emergence of Chase, defenses may put an emphasis on to the game plan around him. This could open things up for Higgins. In addition, he will remain a red zone threat. The Bengals have been moving the ball and scoring this year. His opportunities will come. Buy now while you can and be patient.
