Week 7 Review

Chad Workman / @tweetsbychadfw

As we fly right on through week seven of the NFL season, we have felt the impact of injuries, COVID, and bye weeks. Some of us have had to get crafty with our lineups along the way. Yes, I am speaking from experience. Most importantly, many players dynasty values have been rising or falling in the past few weeks. Let’s take a look back at what happened on Thursday and Sunday, and how some player values were affected.

Travis Fulgham

Many wondered if Travis Fulgham could stick around and continue making contributions to the Eagles offense. After another week of production, the answer appears to be yes. Fulgham saw 11 targets in this one, converting them into five receptions for 73 yards. He has now recorded 70+ plus yards and/or a touchdown in each of the four games he’s played this in this season and has seen double digit targets in the past three. The first question around Fulgham was whether he could really play or not. Spoiler alert; The kid can play. The second question was what would happen when some of the other pass catchers returned to the lineup, but unfortunately, we may not have to answer that one any time soon. DeSean Jackson suffered a serious ankle injury and is expected to miss 6-8 weeks, Dallas Goedert will not return for a few more weeks, Zach Ertz has been placed on IR amongst rumors that the team is open to trading him, and then there’s Alshon Jeffery. He has been close to returning for as long as I can remember, and his name is also in the rumor mill as a trade candidate. The point being that the rookie out of Old Dominion who was cut twice before flourishing with the Eagles appears to have a job locked down. He is a weekly flex consideration and is certainly worth monitoring as a trade target.
